Faire' child Peacock wreath and wing

Today Rachel needed a costume, so she came to mom. We took some wings we had laying around, (don't we all have wings laying around?), then glued peacock feathers to them. I went and picked herbs I have growing and a few fall leaves and presto! She had a fairy wreath. I wish brides would go for this kind of look, well maybe not the wings, although Drew Barrymore pulled it off beautifully in Ever After! I love it so glamorous, yet earthy.
Rachel is a licensed cosmologist, I LOVE how her make up matches the floral wreath!

Sneak Peek Le Rivage

We all know I love feathers, so I was excited to work on Christa's wedding. Her photos aren't here yet, but I do have a little sneak peek thanks to a friend who stopped by to say hi while I was setting up at Le Rivage. I stood on a scary tall latter (o.k. I am not a big fan of latters but seem to be on them every weekend!) Then had at it with flowers, peacock feathers and even a couple of peacocks. This chandleir hung over the dance floor, very dramatic!

Anne, Alex and a dress

Last week we still had a Miosa Couture gown hanging around our house so.....Alexander Frankel asked if Anne could put it on so she could try out her new camera... Here are the amazing results.









What can I say? I may be a florist but my number one job is mom...so to brag a bit, My daugher Anne is the model, my second born daughter Rachel, who just got her cosmotolgy license did the hair and make up and my friend Alex shot it all!
