Karen and Gabe featured on San Francisco Style Unveiled

Next May I will be doing the flowers for Karen and Gabe, they are such a warm and loving couple. We had a great time at their consultation and I cant' wait to create their wedding flowers. Bridal bouquets

A few weels back I was asked to do a couple of bridal bouquets for a photo shoot for Bella Donna bridal salon. Jennnifer with the The Memory Journalists Website was the photographer. The first bouquet was quite vintage with Amnesia roses, a favorite of mine, they have a marvelous "old" look to the color, don't know if that makes since to anyone, but they just look antique to me. I used dinner plate dahlias, antique hydrangeas and astlibe. Then the cherry on top was the pink velvet Midori ribbon, I could just eat it up!
For the next bouquet I went modern, using wire to suspend purple calla lilies that surrounded big purple dahlias and purple allium. I finished it off by haning crystals donw the front of the bouquet.

Today Rachel needed a costume, so she came to mom. We took some wings we had laying around, (don't we all have wings laying around?), then glued peacock feathers to them. I went and picked herbs I have growing and a few fall leaves and presto! She had a fairy wreath. I wish brides would go for this kind of look, well maybe not the wings, although Drew Barrymore pulled it off beautifully in Ever After! I love it so glamorous, yet earthy.
Rachel is a licensed cosmologist, I LOVE how her make up matches the floral wreath!

Sneak Peek Le Rivage

We all know I love feathers, so I was excited to work on Christa's wedding. Her photos aren't here yet, but I do have a little sneak peek thanks to a friend who stopped by to say hi while I was setting up at Le Rivage. I stood on a scary tall latter (o.k. I am not a big fan of latters but seem to be on them every weekend!) Then had at it with flowers, peacock feathers and even a couple of peacocks. This chandleir hung over the dance floor, very dramatic!

Anne, Alex and a dress

Last week we still had a Miosa Couture gown hanging around our house so.....Alexander Frankel asked if Anne could put it on so she could try out her new camera... Here are the amazing results.









What can I say? I may be a florist but my number one job is mom...so to brag a bit, My daugher Anne is the model, my second born daughter Rachel, who just got her cosmotolgy license did the hair and make up and my friend Alex shot it all!
